SA: Vehicle sales remain strong
Australia's vehicle industry remains on track for its third best sales year on record
with a strong performance in November.
In its latest VFACTS bulletin the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries says almost
71,800 new cars and trucks were sold last month -- the best November result ever.
The result is also up 2.7 per cent on the almost 70,000 vehicles sold in November last
year and is a hefty 6.1 per cent better than the 67,600 sold in October.
More importantly, it says, vehicle sales are now up more than 40,000 units in the five
months since the end of June when the new GST resulted in cheaper prices.
